Bringing emerging design talent closer to the professional design ecosystem through hands-on industry exposure 

Mumbai, October 09 2026: Twenty-seven students from JD Institute of Fashion Technology have been selected as finalists for an Industry Apprenticeship at the India Design Show in Mumbai. Selected from a pool of 75 students through a video introduction round, the finalists will participate in the three-day industry platform and gain first-hand experience of the design environment. 

The India Design Show brings together the wider design community through curated showcases, installations, product launches and industry conversations. It provides a platform for designers, brands and creative professionals to showcase their work, exchange ideas and engage with a wider community, bringing together diverse perspectives from across the industry.

Through the Industry Apprenticeship programme, the students will get an opportunity to experience the design industry closely and see how different creative disciplines come together in a professional setting. The experience will give them a better understanding of the way the industry works and the different aspects that shape a design-led platform. 

The 27 students selected for the opportunity are from Fashion, Interior Design and Visual Communication programmes across different years at JD Institute of Fashion Technology. They will be part of the India Design Show from October 9 to 11, 2026, at Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai.
