VerifAIX is an artificial intelligence-driven semiconductor verification firm. VerifAIX has raised $5 million in a seed funding round. Endiya Partners and Bluehill VC co-led the funding round. It also represents the firm’s first significant institutional share sale.

VerifAIX, launched in 2024 by Madhulima Tewari, Kenneth Roe and Avner Landver, is dedicated to solving an urgent and pivotal problem for semiconductor development. Generative software tools are also speeding up the process in which firms are building chip designs, and engineering teams now need an independent system to verify the behavior of these complex, AI-generated designs.

Central component and hybrid approach

The backbone of VerifAIX’s technical solution is an AI-native verification platform that acts as an independent verification trust layer. The platform ensures deterministic and mathematically sound formal methods alongside AI to link design specs, RTL, and verification assets together. 

The core of this platform is the Formal Brain, which models a mathematically precise concept of a chip design and its desired functionality. The Formal Brain analyzes and disambiguates specifications, RTL, and verification artifacts to uncover missing information or inconsistencies in the design, and aids in verification planning, formal analysis, simulation, coverage, debugging, and closure.

VerifAIX is different from traditional industry strategies, which enable the generation of extra verification code based on artificial intelligence, and it combines specification-to-RTL reasoning, automated decomposition, abstraction, and coordinated formal and simulation verification.

This approach is a hybrid that retains traceability from design purpose to implementation, and consequentially, repeatable proof of correctness. Capital deployment and ecosystem impact

The new capital of $5 million will be used to help advance product development, enable customer deployments, and to grow engineering staff at key worldwide locations. 

VerifAIX plans to expand its engineering footprint throughout the United States, India, and Israel to accommodate the growth in complexity of semiconductor architectures. 

The seed round will also help the company build its underlying technology, expand its footprint across platforms, and continue to scale its verification ecosystem to a larger share of enterprise customers, including custom silicon providers, processor and AI accelerator developers, hyperscalers, and system vendors.

VerifAIX aims to move its verification platform from complex blocks and intellectual property to complete semiconductor subsystems and systems as a whole. 

With the increasing depth of AI influence in chip development workflow, the startup seeks to become a non-negotiable middleman step between AI-driven design generation and final chip verification. 

VerifAIX is positioned to be a key player in the current semiconductor design trend and the future evolution of the next generation of semiconductor engineering.
