Yogesh Rawat’s Roadies Journey: The Beginning of His Television Career

Yogesh Rawat’s major breakthrough came with MTV Roadies XX: Double Cross, which aired in 2025.

Roadies is one of India’s most recognised youth reality television shows. The programme is known for its combination of physical challenges, mental tasks, group activities, and competitive situations. Yogesh entered the show with a sporting background and a strong interest in fitness. His physical abilities helped him become an interesting contestant to watch.

The show also gave him an opportunity to understand how the entertainment industry works and how reality television personalities connect with audiences. Although he did not win Roadies XX, the experience helped him establish his name in the reality television space.

For many contestants, Roadies becomes the starting point for opportunities in modelling, social media, television, and other entertainment projects. Yogesh’s journey followed a similar direction.

From Roadies to Splitsvilla X6: A Different Side of Yogesh Rawat

After gaining recognition through Roadies, Yogesh appeared in MTV Splitsvilla X6 in 2026. This was an important step because Splitsvilla follows a different format from Roadies.

While Roadies focuses heavily on physical challenges and competitive tasks, Splitsvilla explores relationships, emotional connections, compatibility, and strategic decisions.

The season, titled Pyaar Ya Paisa, introduced contestants to a format where they had to make choices involving relationships and financial rewards. Hosted by Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra, the show brought together several contestants looking to find connections while competing for the title.

Yogesh became one of the familiar faces in the season because of his earlier appearance on Roadies. His journey in Splitsvilla also attracted attention because of his connection with Ruru Thakur and his interactions with other contestants, including Akanksha Choudhary.

One of the major highlights of Yogesh’s Splitsvilla journey was reaching the grand finale with Ruru Thakur. Their connection became a talking point during the season, and the duo managed to make it among the four finalist connections.

According to The Indian Express, the other finalist pairs included Kushal Tanwar (Gullu) and Kaira Anu, Sorab Bedi and Niharika Tiwari, and Soundarya Shetty and Tayne De Villiers.

The competition was eventually won by Gullu and Kaira, who received the trophy and a cash prize of ₹20 lakh. Although Yogesh and Ruru did not win, reaching the finale was an important achievement in his reality television journey.

The format involved tasks, nominations, arguments, strategic decisions, and eliminations. Yogesh’s participation was another opportunity to demonstrate his personality outside the Roadies and Splitsvilla formats.

The two appeared together in the finale, but their relationship later became a subject of discussion outside the programme as well.

Akanksha Choudhary was another contestant associated with his television journey. It is important to remember that relationships shown on reality television can involve entertainment, competition, and personal emotions. An on-screen connection does not automatically confirm a long-term relationship outside the show.

There have also been public discussions about his relationship with Ruru following their appearances on Splitsvilla. As of November 2026, his current relationship status should not be assumed without a clear and recent statement from him. Yogesh is publicly reported to be unmarried.
