Info Edge Reports ₹822.3 Crore Billings in Q2 FY27

SUMMARY

Info Edge is the parent company behind major online platforms such as Naukri and 99acres. In the standalone results for the second quarter of FY27, Info Edge reported ₹822.3 crore in billings. The performance is reflected in recent data from the stock exchange, which show 12.8% year-on-year growth from the ₹729 crore in the same quarter of the earlier financial year. In the quarter, the growth path reflects the continuous strength of multiple of the company’s key business Verticals.

Mid-year growth and recruitment segment

Considering the overall performance over the last 6 months of FY27, Info Edge has reported total billings of ₹1,559.3 crore. The figure had risen by 13.5% over the ₹1,373.2 crore collected in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Total billings increased steadily, reflecting the ongoing growth of the company’s operations throughout the first half of the financial year. Leading the recruitment business was Naukri, with the job platform serving as a key component of the overall business structure of Info Edge.

Billings, which come from recruitment revenue, surged by 12.6% to become a segment worth ₹613.8 crore in Q2 FY27, compared with ₹545 crore a year ago. This is the key operational revenue line, which is also central to its financial footprint and overall billings.

If the operational effect of customer renewal timings was removed from the recruitment numbers, the growth rate in the division would have been around 14% to 15%, Info Edge clarified. The change underscores the enduring nature of user subscriptions and enterprise client activity on the core employment site.

Accelerated growth and strategic shifts

The 99acres portal, under the real estate vertical, was one of the key areas to show financial momentum in the second quarter. 99acres’ billings grew 21.2% to mark ₹148.3 crore versus the ₹122.4 crore recorded in Q2 FY26. This included a larger performance than that of the real estate segment, which had achieved a 16.5% growth rate in the previous three months of the financial year.

Billings gained 18.4% in the matchmaking division, with Jeevansathi achieving ₹39.7 crore. Another platform run by Info Edge, Aisle, experienced billings growth of 40%. The combined matchmaking vertical grew by 23.1% in the quarter, pointing to solid consumer demand across the company’s matchmaking and marriage services.

In education, which continued to operate under the Shiksha brand, it was found that despite the positive trends in other areas, the division was facing operational stress. The Shiksha segment’s revenue for Q2 FY27 declined by 27.2% to ₹20.5 crore.

According to the company, AI-driven search features are driving down the number of organic users who come to the platform through typical search engines. The company is actively working to reverse this trend by creating new products that will reduce its reliance on search traffic.

In addition, Info Edge claimed a surge in business-to-business AI-based product lines such as AI-Rex and Talent Pulse. Both of these technology solutions showed measurable increases in new customer acquisition and revenue generation, indicating a technology-centric approach in its operational ecosystem. The company’s share price closed at ₹1,205.5 and the overall market capitalisation was quoted at ₹78,400 crore.

Conclusion

The financial performance of Q2 FY27 was positive across the recruitment, real estate, and matchmaking businesses, reflecting the overall financial health of Info Edge during the quarter. Though challenges remain in the education space from the evolving landscape of web search, the company has been pursuing diversification opportunities via artificial intelligence innovation and new product development. With strong 6-month cumulative growth and continued enterprise adoption on its digital platforms, Info Edge’s position in the market remains solid.
