Info Edge officially announced a major leadership reshuffle in the organization. The company has added Naresh Chand Gupta, former Managing Director at Adobe Systems India, as an independent director to its executive board as part of this comprehensive update. Concurrently, Info Edge has appointed Himanshu Agarwal as its new CFO. The significant corporate shifts demonstrate the company’s ongoing effort to build its leading management team, improve its overall strategic skills, and strengthen its many verticals into the future in an extremely competitive digital environment.

Appointment of Naresh Chand Gupta and Himanshu Agarwal

Naresh Chand Gupta, ex-Adobe India Managing Director, will be joining Info Edge’s board as an independent director from October 1 for a term of five years. The decision to appoint Nitin Chand Gupta is still subject to the approval of shareholders. Nitin Chand Gupta is associated with Accuracap Technologies and Accuracap Consultancy Services, and is an independent director at eClerx Services and NoPaperForms.

The appointment of Nitin Chand Gupta signifies that this is a reunion at the firm because he had been working as an independent director at Info Edge up until March 2023. His rich expertise and past experience with the company, along with technology expertise, will prove highly valuable for the board of directors in the coming period.

Starting September 17, Himanshu Agarwal will assume the role of Chief Financial Officer at the timesheet vendor Info Edge. Alongside taking on the position of Chief Financial Officer, Agarwal will also serve as a non-executive director on the board. 

Upon the acquisition of necessary regulatory and corporate approvals, he will be appointed a full-time Director and a full-time CFO. With more than 3 decades of rich sports development experience, Himanshu Agarwal has expertise on the executive team that’s quite valuable.  

Himanshu Agarwal’s rich experience covers key business areas such as finance, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and business transformation in different organizations across India and abroad.

Planned leadership and committee inductions

This leadership transition will also be the end of the tenure of Ambarish Raghuvanshi, who served as the interim CFO of Info Edge. Raghuvanshi will officially retire on 16 September from a financial interim role, having been in place since November 2025. 

Raghuvanshi will continue to serve the company as a finance advisor till October 31 for an uninterrupted working process. He will also actively assist with the transition and full handover of duties to Agarwal during this advisory period. 

Info Edge has placed Agarwal directly on its internal decision-making committees, including its Risk Management Committee and the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting Committee.

According to the company, the leadership transitions will add significantly to its baseline finance and leadership strengths to continue its intense focus on scaling its internet companies and its investment in technology for the long term.
