WhatsApp is adding a new default chat theme feature to allow users to customize chat bubble colors and wallpapers. The company is refining this feature in the WhatsApp beta for iOS 24.11.10.70 version, with plans to introduce 4 more chat theme options.
WhatsApp users have long gotten used to the green theme that adorns the personal messaging app. However, the personal messaging app may soon be working on providing an option to customise the WhatsApp experience with the addition of different themes, at least on the company’s iOS application.

WhatsApp is reportedly developing a feature that will allow iOS users to change the app’s accent color, in addition to chat themes. This feature will enable users to customize in-app buttons with the same colour options available for chat themes.
Although these features are currently unavailable to the public, their inclusion in the beta version suggests a potential public release in the future. WhatsApp is reportedly working on adding 4 more chat theme options in a future version of the app.
Choosing a new chat theme will also result in users’ wallpaper and bubble colour being updated to match the colour palette of the new theme. According to a shared screenshot, users will enter a text prompt into the AI image generator, which will then create a personalised profile picture based on the provided details.
