Tata Consultancy Services, a leader in information technology, will provide computational and logical thinking training to instructors and students at 105 Jai Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya and Eklavya Schools managed by the Uttar Pradesh government’s social welfare department.
In the presence of Minister of State (Independent charge) Asim Arum, TCS signed an 18-month agreement of understanding with the social welfare department on Tuesday, according to a government release.
Ignite My Future and go-IT are two of the company’s programmes. In an effort to promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), it was said that the International Bebras Computing Challenge will teach the pupils of the Jaiprakash Narayan Sarvodaya Schools and Eklavya Residential Schools logical and computational thinking.
These 35,000 student schools, which are run by the social welfare department of Uttar Pradesh, offer residential housing and work to give a high standard of education to kids from the state’s poor communities and tribal areas.
To assist students grasp computers, algorithms, programming, coding, and problem-solving abilities, among other things, the TCS will educate about 1,500 instructors in these schools as part of its initiative Ignite My Future.
To further transfer the knowledge to their coworkers and pupils, the teachers will serve as master trainers.
In addition to preparing them through the international training programme Bebras Computing Challenge, students will be taught design and logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and generating codes under the company’s go-IT programme.
According to the statement, the courses are structured to enable students to assess their own performance against global norms and do well in exams like JEE-NEET.
The programme was attended by Minister Asim Arun, Secretary Sameer Verma, TCS CSR national head Sunil Joseph, centre heads Amitabh Tiwari, and Ravi Kohli.
