Capitalize 2.0 – One of the biggest Startup funding event
Venture Garage post the success of Capitalize 1.0 last year is now ready to host its flagship event Capitalize 2.0 on 12 January 2018. Capitalize is a unique event for Startups conducted annually by Venture Garage. It is a platform for entrepreneurs to Learn, Network and Pitch for funding. The second edition of the event is happening in Gurgaon at HSIIDC Auditorium. The event will add significantly to the startup ecosystem in India by bringing together Govt., Angel & VC Investors, Industry Leaders, Associations and more than 200 Startups.
The key highlight of the event will be the presence of Shri Vipul Goel as Chief Guest. Vipul is also the Cabinet Minister in the state of Haryana & in charge of Ministry of Industries & Commerce, Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Skill Development & Industrial Training.

The efforts of Haryana Govt. to enable entrepreneurship have been significant. Some of the key initiatives which will give a thrust to entrepreneurship include:
INR 1500 Crores to be invested in the Incubation and Startup Ecosystem
22 Technology /Business Incubators / Accelerators to be established in each of the different sectors in every district of Haryana
1 million sq. ft. of Incubation/ Common Office space to be developed
Venture Capital funding of a minimum of INR 200 Crore to be facilitated
Collateral free loans of up to INR 1 Crore for startups
INR 1000 Crore fund for MSME loans

Session 1: Dream, Struggle & Prize
The journey of successful business leaders sharing their motivation and passion for entrepreneurship. How they began, the struggles they went through before living the dream of their lives. Each speaker would be advised to touch upon various aspects of entrepreneurship to include go-to-market, technology and financing.
Session 2: Key Note
The contribution and plan of Haryana State Govt. and various ministries to enable entrepreneurship from the perspective of policy changes & reforms, access to capital and enabling infrastructure.
Session 3: Investor Perspective
A panel discussion of 5-6 most active VCs from all over India sharing their thoughts on Gurugram based startups, how the funding landscape is changing and their future plans to invest in Haryana startups.
Session 4: Pitching & Mentoring
4 startups shortlisted from over 200 national level entries get a chance to pitch to 20+ investors for funding.
Additionally, 4 startups get a chance to meet the business leaders for a 10-15 minutes mentorship session.

Capitalize 2017 was hosted in April 2017 @IIT Delhi. 40+ investors flew in from various Indian cities to address an audience of 300+ entrepreneurs and various startup ecosystem players. Some of the marquee investors who spoke at the event include RehanYar Khan (investor in Ola), Ravi Kaushik (investor in Unacademy), OjasBabber (Amity Innovation Center), Tej Kapoor (investor in Delivery) among many others. Top 8 startups shortlisted from over 200 entries were given an opportunity to pitch to the panel of 40 investors to raise capital up to Rs.2Cr. Eventually one of the startups raised Rs.2Cr from investors.
