Nazara’s Nodwin Gaming acquired Gaming startup Trinity Gaming for $2.8 million

Delhi-based Gaming startup Trinity Gaming was acquired for $2.8 million by the Nazara Technologies-backed Nodwin Gaming. The company signed an agreement to buy the shares through secondary sales and stock swaps of Nodwin gaming shares for Rs 24 crore. This investment aims to acquire 100 percent share capital of Trinity Gaming and improve gaming compatibility and technology while scaling up.

Trinity Gaming is an online e-sports gamers talent management platform that offers services for esports and gaming with talent acquisition. Nodwin Gaming is considering paying Rs 4.8 crore in cash and Rs 19.2 crore through a swap of Nodwin’s equity share. After this acquisition, Trinity Gaming’s founders will remain in the company while becoming shareholders in Nodwin Gaming Technologies.

The firm plans to boost its comprehensive youth entertainment experiences while enhancing its gaming experience and working on delivering an immersive gaming experience. The total deal is valued at around Rs 24 crore. This collaboration will help Nodwin enhance its capability by integrating Trinity’s expertise, network, technology, and experience. Trinity manages over 1,000 content creators across India. The startup specializes in digital marketing and content creation.

Nodwin bought 100 percent of the share capital of Trinity. The company is working on combining two businesses and bringing their technologies and solutions together. Trinity also works on agency activations which allows it to get impactful partnerships with the game creators. The company has business partners including global brands like Realme, Samsung, iQOO, and Krafton. Following the successful agreement both the companies decided to proceed with this transaction. After this deal, both companies will have increased technical skills hence more innovative gaming solutions.

The Nazara-backed firm plans to expand the presence of Trinity Gaming in emerging market regions such as the Middle East, Central Asia, South-East Asia, and Africa. Nodwin highlighted that this investment allows them to have the content creation and marketing services from Trinity and enhance India’s gaming ecosystem.  Earlier this year, Nodwin Gaming announced its plans to invest $100 million in these mergers and acquisitions for the next two years. 

Nazara recently secured $101.3 million in its post-IPO round from SBI Mutual Fund, Aamara Capital, and other investors. The company has acquired various gaming startups including Ninja Global FZCO, Freaks 4U Gaming, India’s Comic Con, and other firms to strengthen its gaming presence globally. The firm plans to invest in expanding its global presence after acquiring Trinity Gaming. Trinity Gaming faces competition from other e-sports organizations such as Generation Esports, G2 Esports, and Ampverse.
