Less than thirty days after listing his longtime green retreat in the Venice district of Los Angeles, New-list artist Bradley Cooper has found a buyer.

After living there for almost 20 years, the movie star, who recently starred in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3,” put his 1920s bungalow on for sale in mid-April for $2.4 million. According to property records, he has held it until 2004, since he paid little below a million dollars for the home.

The lovely, verdant vegetation surrounds the two-bedroom home. According to selling broker Diana Braun of Compass, “Bradley developed a stunning external atmosphere that clients fell in love with.” Vine-covered pergolas served as a continuation of the house and a seamless transition between the outside and the inside. I’ve never seen Venice in such a distinctive setting before.

The interior, which has features like reclaimed-wood ceilings and concrete floors, was styled by Mr. Cooper, 48, in collaboration with the designer Santillana de Chanaleilles.

The outdoor and interior living is emphasized throughout in the traditional California style. The main area of the house, a spacious existence, dining and kitchen space with a fireplace and a large concrete breakfast bar, has French doors that go out to the garden and a tonne of windows that let in a lot of natural light.

Within the main bedroom suite, a sizable glass wall can be folded back to provide access to the green garden. A soaring cathedral ceiling, the spa-like washroom with terracotta tiles, a shower with a black metal frame and a clawfoot tub are further attractions.

“The location is an excellent starting point for many buyers coming to Los Angeles from the East Coast or other regions; I’m sure Bradley Cooper, too, was charmed at the time by the proximity to the beach and the variety of restaurants and shops on Abbot Kinney [Boulevard],” Ms. Braun said.

Both the house and the performer were in high demand. She said that over 20 parties engaged in a vigorous bidding war for it.  She continued, “The buyer, who won the auction among 21 other people, will make this their first home.” “They knew they wouldn’t find the elements of the house flow, design decisions, and the garden again.”

Homes are selling for less throughout Los Angeles due to a persistent shortage of inventory. According to a recent Douglas Elliman first quarter report, it resulted in single-family home transactions in Venice declining by roughly 40% year over year.

The name of the buyer or the cost is not disclosed until the sale of Mr. Cooper’s property concludes.

In response to a demand for comment, the actor’s agent did not immediately provide one. The actor is known for his roles in “The Hangover,” “Silver Linings Playbook,” and “A Star is Born.”
