A few weeks after Meta released a set of generative AI-based tools to assist advertisers in developing various campaigns, LinkedIn unveiled a tool that suggests many versions of an advertisement.

According to the business, it analyzes information from a marketer’s LinkedIn page and Campaign Manager settings, including the purpose, targeting parameters, and audience, to recommend various opening sentences for the advertisement. Unsurprisingly, OpenAI models are being used by LinkedIn, a Microsoft affiliate, to generate various ideas for copies.

The copywriting advice functions in a straightforward manner. Marketers can enter their material in the Campaign Manager’s “introductory text” field. They must enable the “Generate copy suggestions” toggle to receive different suggestions for that text.

Currently, in testing, the feature is accessible to some North American clients. In the upcoming months, the business wants to expand the feature’s functionality, add support for more languages, and roll it out to new regions.

In a blog post, LinkedIn’s VP of Product Abhishek Shrivastava stated that “AI Copy Suggestions can help jumpstart your creativity and reduce the time you spend on your day-to-day tasks so that you can continue to focus on what matters — continuing to produce memorable campaigns and building your brand.

Further, he said, “We recognize the difficulty you have in running your organization profitably while completing more tasks with fewer resources.

The business has used generative AI in a variety of ways. It unveiled a “conversation starter” feature in March that employed AI to create a post’s introduction. The Microsoft-owned company also unveiled generative AI tools for generating profile bios and job postings in the same month.

It’s crucial to realize that when users utilize these tools, LinkedIn doesn’t say if any or all of the text was produced by AI.

Big tech marketing solutions are increasing, including generative AI for advertisements. Meta introduced its portfolio of initiatives in May to assist marketers with copywriting, background creation, and image cropping. A few weeks later, Google unveiled a brand-new product studio that enables brands to produce graphics using generative AI. The business is also transforming and adapting adverts for search results using AI.
