IBS Software has been chosen by Jalan-Kalrock Consortium to power the relaunch of Jet Airways, the company said on Friday. IBS will offer a variety of technological platforms to aid with Jet Airways’ relaunch.
It will support Jet Airways’ passenger service systems, including its website and mobile app, inventory and revenue management, departure control system, and loyalty management. In September, Jet Airways’ commercial activities will resume under its new owners.
Sanjiv Kapoor, CEO of Jet Airways, commented on the collaboration and said the airline aims to incorporate technology with a human touch and get the fundamentals right by tackling recurrent pain spots in the customer journey, both online and at airports, as well as staff pain points.
As we enter an exciting new era for the airline, he said, “In IBS Software we found an ideal partner with the experience and expertise required to deliver the technology platforms and collaboration that will help us deliver on our promise to bring back an even better Jet Airways to those eagerly awaiting its relaunch.”
Last June, the group received authorisation from the National Company Law Tribunal to resurrect Jet Airways. The airline was given approval to begin operations by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in May. The coalition wants to get going early next month.
It is a true honour to be a part of Jet Airways’ much awaited relaunch, according to Anand Krishnan, CEO of IBS Software. Jet Airways is one of India’s most beloved airlines.
In order to continue changing the face of the airline experience in India and abroad, he stated, “Jet Airways is committed to placing technology at the centre of its whole operations. We’re excited to join with their innovative team.”
