India reached a trend by successfully launching its first reusable hybrid rocket known as the RHUMI-1. This new rocket has been created by a Tamil Nadu-based start-up named Space Zone India with the help of the Martin Group; it uses characteristics of both liquid and solid fuels.

Mission of RHUMI-1 Rocket

RHUMI-1 intends to gather essential data to support climate research, paying the most attention to global warming and climate change. The rocket launched 3 Cube Satellites and 50 PICO Satellites to a suborbital flight. RHUMI-1 has a generic fuel-based hybrid motor that can be operated through a combination of fuels and electricity.

It has an electrically released parachute activation mechanism. Astoundingly, RHUMI-1 became free from any pyrotechnic at all, making it 100% pyrotechnic-free; The element of TNT could not be measured in RHUMI-1, therefore was 0%.

Significance of RHUMI-1

The RHUMI mission is led by Anand Megalingam the founder of Space Zone India. He gets technical guidance from Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, a former director of ISRO Satellite Centre, also called ISAC. The rocket has a hybrid configuration, which enhances its performance during flight and decreases operational expenses. RHUMI-1 has come up with new findings that assist in the investigation of climates to find solutions to environmental issues.
