27 Mantraa, India’s first Concierge service provider for Divinity, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of angel investors. The start-up was advised by ANOVA Corporate Services, an Investment Banking and Advisory firm.
Founded in 2016 by Ajay and Aathmika, 27 Mantraa is a one-stop destination for all your ‘Spiritual’ aspirations through a single platform. The team was soon joined by Chandrashekar Kupperi, to leverage his financial and strategic expertise. With the strengthened management and technology as an anchor, 27 Mantraa is now endeavoring to provide customers with a holistic platform to fulfill all their religious pursuits.
Their service offerings ranges from Remedy Poojas and Homams, E-Archanai, Spiritual Yatras, Darshan ticket booking and E-Prasad services for receiving Holy Prasad from religious places around the country. The company is in the process of launching offline outlets through franchise model, merchandising products such as hand-crafted Pooja Mandirs under their own label ‘27 Mantraa’.
“The segment, though an impressive $30 billion market, is still highly unorganized, served by small, fragmented players and is therefore ripe for disruption though technology. Other recently funded online players, including Harivara, ePuja and OnlinePrasad, do offer a few selective services, unlike 27 Mantraa which is striving to serve the complete spectrum” , Says Mr. Ajay.v The Founder Of 27 Mantraa.
They have also recently launched a novel ‘Gift-a-Pooja’ concept, wherein one can request a Pooja to be performed in the name of their loved ones and get the Prasad delivered in customized packaging to them on special occasions.
The
services offered by 27 Mantraa are clearly a need, especially for senior
citizens and NRIs unable to practise their traditional beliefs at their choice
of temple, given factors such as health or distance.
27 Mantraa currently offers these traditional solutions through its online portal (www.27mantraa.com), and has successfully performed over 900+ Poojas and Homams since its launch. It has serviced customers across Asia, with predominant service requests coming from India, South-East Asia and Middle East for temples based in and around Tamil Nadu.
The
company plans to raise the next round of pre-series A funding by June 2019. The
plan is to introduce VR technology services for temples in the next two years.
