She was listed among the top 100 global influencers in Time magazine’s 2016 edition.

Koneru Humpy created history in the chess world in 2002 when she accomplished a singular feat that earned her international recognition and cemented her status as a national youth hero. She obtained the Grandmaster title at the earliest age ever for a woman. She achieved a Grandmaster at the age of just 15 years, one month, and 27 days, which is what made this unique. She is renowned for her shrewd reasoning and cunning chess tactics.
