When and how did you start?
“In the middle of 2016, Kartik and I met at Bombay Gymkhana for a cup of coffee. The two of us have known each other since we were in school and used to periodically talk about work. We were both working full-time jobs at the time and saw a great need to help companies build their digital presence“, Says Rehan Dadachanji The Co-Founder of The Starter Labs.
How did you come up with the idea? Your inspiration moment
While there was no real “Eureka moment”, we were always flirting with the idea of starting a company that could help brands in the digital space. We saw a lot of great brands who weren’t able to successfully market themselves and felt like we could really help a ton of them!

About funding, plans for growth
We’ve been a profit-making company pretty much since day 1. Our business model is structured so that we don’t burn money that isn’t ours but rather focuses on getting paid for our services and pumping that money back into the business.
Challenges and Opportunities/ Marketing Strategies
One of the biggest challenges in the digital space is the advent of new technology. Sometimes it changes so fast and makes some tools and past experiences completely irrelevant. To move with the times, we actively spend a few hours every week reading about and learning about new technologies, trends etc. so we always stay ahead of the curve and make sure that our client’s competitors are always catching up with them!

Our future goals are to grow our team and work with big brands in the e-commerce and hospitality industry!

EXCLUSIVE: Founder’s advice to budding entrepreneurs
Our advice to budding entrepreneurs would be to actively study the market they’re trying to break into and find a need. Do your research and due diligence, speak to people from relevant industries and understand their challenges and then find ways to solve them. You don’t always have to have a ground-breaking, innovative idea to start a business, you just need to create or address a market need. For example, just because starting a coffee shop isn’t a new idea, doesn’t mean that a Starbucks outlet around the corner won’t work!
Provide some statistics like revenues or client acquisitions.
Over the years, we’ve worked over 35 brands from big companies like BookMyShow to companies that weren’t even named when we first met the founders. While we’ve double, triple, and quadrupled a lot of brand’s visibility and website visits, one of our greatest recent successes is increasing a company’s online sales by over 250% in 3 months! We used a content-driven remarketing strategy and were nearly able to triple our online orders.
