SUMMARY

Dextr AI is an artificial intelligence algorithm designed specifically for the hospitality sector. Dextr AI has raised $6.7 million in its latest seed funding round. This investment was led by Elevation Capital. The round saw active participation from Foundational Capital. The funds raised from this seed round will be used for several operational targets, according to an official press release issued by Dextr AI. The funds raised will be dedicated to speeding up the company’s continuous product development efforts, growing its in-house workforce, and scaling its platform deployments in international hospitality markets. The key geographical regions identified for additional expansion include India, which is considered to be desirable geographical zone where Startup resolves to set up and expand its operational footprint.

Automated solutions and core operational reach

Dextr AI was launched in July last year by Sajid Shariff and Scott Arnold, created as a specialised Artificial Intelligence agents platform specifically for the hospitality industry. The core platform features dedicated AI agents that are optimized for seamless automation across various operational workflows.

These workflows cover guest experience, booking, behind-the-scenes operations, and sales and marketing initiatives. Its automated options are suitable for a diverse range of properties and support hundreds of sites, including independent hotels, resorts, and larger properties under well-known franchises.

Currently, the company is engaged in active operations in several global jurisdictions that include the USA, Canada, the UK, and Europe. The platform is represented by some famous franchised properties using brands like Hilton, Wyndham, Best Western, and IHG.

Overall, Dextr AI deals with more than 1 million interactions monthly, demonstrating its dependence on operational throughput. It has inbuilt functionality that allows it to accept financial transactions by speaking to it, and it processes tens of millions of dollars worth of phone bookings on its behalf for its customers on a monthly basis.

Strategic deployment and control mechanism

Dextr AI’s strategic rollouts have contributed to impressive performance indicators in the sector, including industry-leading booking conversion rates for hotel companies that collected payments through phone calls on their behalf.

This tool has been designed to directly address the important operational challenges that are frequently encountered in the hospitality sector, including missed calls, customer questions that remain unanswered, labor shortages, and guests’ needs that go unfulfilled. By automating such mundane activities, the platform helps the hotel managers concentrate on important guest encounters.

Dextr AI’s operational analysis of Indian contact centres indicated stark structural inefficiencies, with many recording call drop rates of around 42%. In the hospitality industry, each missed call is a significant financial risk, as potential guests may choose to book through alternative channels such as online travel agencies or another competing property.

By implementing a single voice deployment strategy for multiple use cases, Dextr AI has seen efficiency results ranging between 49 and 67 times return on investment in its deployments at reservation centers. In addition to the seed funding announcement, Dextr AI is also announcing the launch of Doss Gen 1, an advanced command layer feature for hospitality industry teams.

Doss Gen 1 serves as an interactive control system that lets hotel personnel speak or type in plain English to instruct robots to perform various tasks. Doss Gen 1 has been designed with stringent demands of enterprise hospitality operators, offering consistent operations across portfolios, systematic audit trails, and role-based security permissions.

Conclusion

The achievement of the $6.7 million seed funding round led by Elevation Capital is an important step for Dextr AI as it aims to make a revolution in the hospitality industry’s business operations. The creation of AI agents that help automate front desk processes, voice bookings, and workflow management allows for solving such problems in the industry as the large number of missed calls and the lost potential for earning revenue. With great return on investment metrics, huge monthly transactions, and cooperation with major global brands in the US, Canada, the UK, and Europe, Dextr AI is ready to expand into new markets, such as India.
