We are delighted to collaborate and partner with GMR Group for DigiYatra, again another outstanding government digitization effort. As a market leader in passenger flow facilitation solutions, IDEMIA India’s Matthew Foxton stated that the company always innovates to uphold passenger confidence and pave the way for even safer and more comfortable travel in the future.

Following the terms of this agreement, DigiYatra will employ IDEMIA’s facial recognition technology in Delhi, Hyderabad, and Goa to confirm the identification of domestic travellers. This will make terminal access and security clearance at the airport a smooth, hassle-free, and paperless process.

Videh Kumar Jaipuriar, CEO of GMR, said, “We are pleased to work with IDEMIA’s best-in-class Passenger Flow Facilitation solution, which will enable and speed up passenger clearance and boost security with inherent anti-spoofing capabilities with the least manual intervention.

IDEMIA has installed its cutting-edge solutions, utilizing its award-winning biometric and digital technology, in more than 250 airports worldwide. The facial and fingerprint recognition technologies from IDEMIA are also used at Singapore’s Changi Airport, which has received the title of “world’s best airport” a record 12 times.

By enhancing passenger convenience and security while preserving their privacy and security, IDEMIA contributes to DigiYatra with its award-winning facial recognition and digital technology. Contactless biometric technology helps travellers restore their confidence by easing their concerns about cleanliness.

Advanced fingerprint, face, and iris recognition systems made specifically for airports by IDEMIA are not only “simple touchless technologies”; they identify passengers while they are in motion, promoting increased efficiency and a comfortable passenger experience while protecting their privacy.

Working with the GMR team to create a comprehensive and modern solution that meets international standards has been a true delight. Alok Tiwari, Senior Vice President and Business Head, Public Security & Identity, IDEMIA India, stated that we look forward to extending our cooperation with GMR to give every traveller in India the ideal travel experience. We are delighted to collaborate with them to achieve our shared goal since we are convinced it will succeed.

IDEMIA hopes to provide Indian passengers who agree to use the DigiYatra platform a modern and digital experience that will make their flights faster, smoother, and more safe.
