AI has already gained a prolific amount of attention in the recent past as people have been fired from their jobs at the workplace only to get replaced by Artificial Intelligence bots or programs. The most affected sector of all by AI is the technology sector. Companies have been laying off employees mainly to cut costs, but AI is also another reason.
With such circumstances arising in the ecosystem, people believe that AI will take over the world someday and it will leave humans jobless and deprived of basic necessities. While the statement may or may not be true, all we can do now is make the most out of these AI tools. Putting this idea into the process is Indian Edtech giant BYJU’S. The multinational educational technology company is introducing three AI bots to the educational world. On Wednesday, BYJU’S announced the launch of three transformer models that aim to improve the quality of services provided by BYJU’S, making the learning process as easy and convenient as possible.
“Tech of today for leaders of tomorrow. BYJU’S WIZ – our groundbreaking suite of 3 AI models makes learning immersive & transformative. When artificial and human intelligence meets, the possibilities are limitless to make learning a magical experience.”-: Byju‘s Tweet
The first model to discuss is Badri. Badri is a predictive model designed to identify where a student struggles in their educational journey. If a student is struggling to understand a specific concept, Badri will be present there to make the topic or concept as easy and understandable as possible in a way that the student makes it through without any hindrance. Badri will address the knowledge gaps and make a continuous learning graph for the students.
The second model is a special one, and many students will like it. MathGPT, the second model by BYJU’S, is designed to assist students solve mathematical problems. MathGPT will make learning easy by providing understandable analogies and visual aids that will help the students understand the concepts better. MathGPT is designed to make mathematical concepts simple and guide students through problem-solving.
The third and last model, TeacherGPT, is an AI assistant that will offer guidance to the learners and even grade their report cards. How cool is that? An AI-powered assistant guiding students and grading their mark sheets is very futuristic, and BYJU’S has made it possible in the present.
Talking about these models, BYJU’S has worked hard on these models and has made some advanced modifications to make the models work better with time. The AI model’s ability to contextualize instruction based on student’s interests is a feature that will certainly change the way of online education. It will surely make the learning process engaging and exciting. For example, if a student likes sports, AI-powered models will use sports analogies to help the student learn better.
BYJU’S transformer models have undergone extensive training using the vast data generated by its student base, and it has an accuracy rate of 87 percent. BYJU’S claims that with such accuracy, the models will align with the respective curriculum boundaries. BYJU’S models are made for one purpose only, and that is to improve the learning path of students. Other reasons include cost-cutting and effective operation.
In the background, BYJU’S is still working to make these models useful and productive.
