E-commerce and D2c brand Nitro Commerce secured $1.8 million in its seed funding round, which Cornerstone Venture partners led. Various investors participated in the round, including Lead Angels, Warmup Ventures, Dholakia Ventures, and India Accelerator. This round was part of a $6 million goal the startup plans to secure in the next few months. The startup was founded by Atyab Mohammed, Dhamail Tayyab, and Pratik Anand and was co-founded by Umair Mohammed, the founder of Wigzo. The e-commerce startup aims to offer technologies to online brands and help them increase revenue while solving customer acquisition bottlenecks. The startup claims to be the first revenue-as-a-service stack for D2C, e-commerce, and other retail brands across the country.  

The CEO and co-founder of Nitro Commerce, Umair Mohammed told inc42, that the e-commerce and  D2C sector is increasing rapidly and has various merchants and brands coming online. The startup is  developing core technologies to help these brands. The firm currently offers a product, Nitro X which  is a cookieless technology that solves the problem of third-party cookies. Nitro claims to have various e-commerce and D2C brands as its clients including The Ayurveda co, and Revlon. The firm is expecting  over 1,000 brands on Nito X by FY25. 

The company plans to use these fresh proceeds to scale its operations, expand its network, enhance  its platform, and meet market demands. Nitro aims to profitability by the end of 2025. The startup  plans to launch Nitro AI in the next few months, this service helps brands train AI technologies and  Large Language Models on their proprietary data. Nitro commerce is expected to grow and play a  crucial role in India’s e-commerce and D2C economy.
