This company was founded by Neeraj Biyani, Eeti Sharma, and Mandeep Bhatia to increase awareness about different skin care needs for Indian skin tones. The startup also aims to scale up its operation and try for a market expansion this fiscal year. The co-founder of Asaya, Neeraj Biyani, mentioned that the startup received positive responses for its products, highlighting the market-fit product line. The company believes this investment will help it expand its network and reach 250,000 customers from 20,000 in just one year. In addition, the startup plans to improve its customer and marketing service to provide a faster and more seamless experience to its customers. 

Asaya offers over 11 products and 23 stock-keep units via its website and other e-commerce platforms, including Nykaa, Flipkart, Myntra, and Amazon. The founding partner of Huddle  Ventures, Sanil Sacher, showed his trust in the firm’s market potential and mentioned that not many skincare brands focus on specific skin types or needs of melanin-rich skin. However,  Asaya offers skin care products with a melanin-centric approach while spreading awareness about different skin care approaches for Indian skin tones.

The startup competes with other skincare brands, including Mamaearth, Honasam, plum, the  Ayurveda Co, and more. The company aims to offer its customers scientifically tested products with natural ingredients.
