Artificial Intelligence (AI) has taken over people’s lives and has made our lives more convenient and comforting. We can see the use of AI in almost everything in every industry. In fact, it is impossible to live without AI in the 21st century. AI has become an integral part of our lives as we try to find more comforting ways to live our life with purpose and intent. AI’s rapid progress in almost every sector of our life is scary and, in the meantime, a relief.

Recent reports suggest that there is an AI that is in the works that will help unearth the foundation of anxiety and depression in a person. Anxiety and depression are two of the most experienced mental health disorders that are life-threatening beyond a certain limit. The AI will be powerful enough to take a small hint and find out if there is a case of anxiety or depression in a human being. The developments are going on, and something concrete has not been made as of now. The findings of this innovation were published in the journal Language Resources and Evaluation. This journal also tells us that the AI will implement Twitter’s services while working as a real-life product.

#Depression is a huge challenge today. Can #AI help detect, manage & treat the condition just by listening to your voice? My article for Forbes.

The article presents the state of audio analytics and shows how AI solves 2 key issues in MentalHealth. I discuss real-world examples from companies like Sonde Health, Inc. and Kintsugi that are innovating in this space. The model based on AI, which is under work, will come to force once all the experiments are completed. The ongoing study is being carried out in steps. The first step included a database called SetembroBR that contains data relating to 47 million publicly posted Portuguese texts and the network of connections between 3,900 Twitter users. These users were previously diagnosed with such critical mental health problems before the database survey. The study collected data on people undergoing mental health problems as these people tend to follow certain topics, discussions, and people that relate to the whole mental health spectrum.

The second step, which is under process, is working on finding the possibility of such problems set in the affected people by having a brief look at their social media friends and followers only and no personal posts. The studies are still underway and the work is in development to build an AI strong enough to tackle anxiety and depression amongst peers from every age group.
